Salvation is knowing you have eternal life

What does it mean to be saved?

1 John 5:13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.

Romans 5:8-10  But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.  10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

John 3: 5-7 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.  6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’  8 The  wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot  tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born  of the Spirit.”

What shall I do to be saved?

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. s His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 10:13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Romans 10:9-10 that if  you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart  that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

2 Corinthians 5: 5 Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge.

Say yes to the Lord while there is still time. He will receive you, and you come just as your are. The Lord will respond when you ask Him into your heart. Ask Him to take away your sins. He will sprinkle you with His blood and take away your sins, the shame, and the condemnation.

Then He will seal you with His Holy Spirit as a pledge.

How do I know this will happen?

You can be assured it will happen because God said so in His Word.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 John 2: 25 And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life.

1 John 5:11-12  And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

When you covenant with God your name is written in the book of life.

Revelation 20:15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
